Our B & B is located in the middle of the nature reserve 'De Brand'. Here we enjoy the silence and nature around us. You walk from your terrace directly into the forest behind our house and at the end of our street (10 min walk) you walk into the Loonse and Drunense dunes. We invite you to immerse yourself for a few days in peace, space and (nature) experience.
Nature and surroundings
At the end of our street you will find the Loonse and Drunense Dunes with forest, heath and especially a lot of sand. It is one of the largest areas of drifting sand in Western Europe. The wind can blow undisturbed in many places and this creates an ever-changing landscape. By purchasing it in 1921 it has been protected for 100 years and we can still enjoy this Brabant Sahara today. In the walking route booklet of this area you can read more about 100 years of nature management of the Loonse and Drunense Dunes. On the sandy plain you are allowed to stroll. So there is plenty of room to go out and about. Marvel at the fallen trees, enjoy the chirping crickets and quench your thirst at one of the many cafes or restaurants on the edge of this nature reserve. Hiking, biking or horseback riding: it's all possible here. With the wind in your hair and the sand in your shoes. Maybe you will come across the flock of sheep.
