Attractive cozy camping happiness in a spacious spot in the Gardens of Weldadigheid. This 1964 Otten caravan has been lovingly refurbished and also features nostalgic retro details in the interior. The lifting roof gives a nice light and is equipped with horgaas. Cooking can be done in 2 places: both inside and outside a 2-burner stove. The covered outdoor kitchen is also equipped with a refrigerated chest. Two loose chairs with cushions are also at your disposal. Hammock + fire pit.Suitable for alone or two where you have the choice of sleeping together or each separately. The double bed is as to be expected in an oldtimer not kingsize ;) This is one of 3 retro caravans this season at this special place.
Nature and surroundings
You will stay at the Tuinen van Weldadigheid, organic nursery, in a historically interesting location that belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tips: * Fochteloërveen: This nearby extensive raised bog area is a paradise for hikers and birdwatchers. It is one of the few places in the Netherlands where you can spot the crane. * Historical walk: Take a guided walk, audio tour or route description along the monumental buildings with inscriptions such as 'Order and Discipline' and hear stories from the time that Veenhuizen was still a closed village. * The prison museum full of fascinating stories. * Eating out is within walking distance at restaurant Bitter&Zoet. Recommended are also brewery Maallust, Kaaslust and Piepers&Paupers * Cities Assen and Groningen * Outdoor village pool
