Close to the beach In Sint Maartensbrug near Sint Maartenszee Haven't you always wanted to vacation in a typical old farmhouse or stolp from 1900 in Holland ? Not a vacation park? Here you have the opportunity. A stolpboerderij is a farmhouse that is mainly found in North Holland. It is a square farmhouse with a pyramid roof. Under this roof there was room for the farmer's family, the cattle, the hay, the carts and other equipment. The beach of Sint Maartensee can be reached by bike in about 10 minutes. Please bring your own bicycles. There are 2 beach restaurants here. The beach is supervised in the summer months and your dog is welcome there. There is also a nudist beach 800 m to the north
Nature and surroundings
On the way to the beach, you cross the North Holland Canal and pass Het Wildrijk nature reserve on the right. There you can marvel at the wild hyacinths. Towards the beach, you can park for free next to the parking lot at De Goudvis. There are many beach access points here that are easy to reach by car. For example Petten or the beautifully situated Hargen aan Zee with the children's lagoon and the exceptionally wide beach. On the newly created dunes there are cycle paths, hiking and riding trails with breathtaking views of the sea. Our house is located in the middle of the flower fields in spring. In the other months the fields are cultivated with vegetables and lettuce. As a result, tractors sometimes drive through the fields during the day. Long walks along the North Holland Canal towards the windmill are wonderfully relaxing.
