Beautiful houseboat with roof terrace and front terrace on the water in the cozy marina of Monnickendam. A beautiful fishing town with several restaurants and nature areas within walking distance. In the harbor is a beach bar/terrace overlooking the lake. You can rent water sports art. here and sail to Amsterdam, Marken with its famous lighthouse or the historic fishing village of Volendam or Keukenhof. Sail through the beautiful canals of Amsterdam. From Monnickendam are trips to Marken, Volendam, Edam, the Zaanse Schans and very easy by car, bicycle and public transport. Free parking in the harbor. The houseboat has 2 bedrooms, 1 with bunk beds and 1 with and 2 bed. There is a kitchen with basic inventory, airfryer, stove, refrigerator, shower, toilet a living room with dining table and sofa. There is Wifi, TV, heating, air conditioning. The houseboat is meant to be enjoyed on the water; boating is not allowed during rental. You can bring your dog with you.
Nature and surroundings
You are in the picturesque harbor of Monnickendam. In the harbor is a beach bar with beautiful views of the lake. Here you can rent sups, canoes, sailing and motor boats to sail e.g. to the adjacent nature reserve. Thousands of years ago people transformed marshland into meadows with the natural Waterland East full of waving reeds, ditches and picturesque villages as an end result. A paradise for (water) birds, you can make beautiful bike rides or a canoe trip, swimming, fishing, water sports, boating and hiking to the nature reserves in the area. The center of Monnickendam with cozy terraces and good restaurants is a 5-minute walk from the harbor. Amsterdam is easy to reach and here you can also sail to and there are a number of interesting museums nearby. Your unique vacation experience can begin! In Monnickendam there is also a beautiful nature reserve where you can take lovely walks.
