Nature house in Broek in Waterland

My intention was to unwind for a while, this worked out very well. The cottage is very suitable to retreat and enjoy the little. At the same time, from this cottage you can discover a very nice environment in different ways.

Mijn bedoeling was om even lekker tot rust te komen, dit is heel goed gelukt. Het huisje is heel geschikt om je even terug te trekken en van het kleine te genieten. Tegelijk kun je vanuit dit huisje een heel leuke omgeving op verschillende manieren ontdekken.

This cute mobile home is in a (vegetable) garden that you are allowed to use. It is located right by the water on a farm. The wagon is neatly maintained with its own kitchenette. Thorough toilet facilities are located at the campground. Hostess Bonnie is very warm and approachable and visibly enjoys making the hosts feel at home.

Deze leuke Pipowagen staat in een (moes)tuintje waar je gebruik van mag maken. De camping bevindt zich direct aan het water op een boerenerf. De wagen is keurig onderhouden met een eigen keukentje. Gedegen toiletvoorzieningen bevinden zich op de camping. Gastvrouw Bonnie is heel hartelijk en benaderbaar en vindt het zichtbaar leuk om het de verhuurders naar de zin te maken.

Tips: - Fix screens or hang fly strip - Put lace bedding on it, this is just a little cooler - Two small towels instead of a large and small - Shorten the grass a little so you have a path to the car. This will save wet feet from the doldrums - Fix the white portable lamp

Tips:
- Horren repareren of vliegenstrip ophangen
- Kantoenen beddengoed erop doen, dit is net wat koeler
- Twee kleine handdoeken i.p.v. een grote en kleine
- Het gras wat korter maken zodat je een pad hebt naar de wagen toe. Dit scheelt natte voeten van de douw
- De witte draagbare lamp repareren

What a wonderful stay in nature. The cottage is nicely decorated and nice that there was cold water and a fridge in the car. Communication with Bonnie via Whatsapp was convenient and she responds quickly. I really enjoyed the garden with the family blue tit and butterflies! The location is perfect so in the area. It is about 15 min cycling from Broek in Waterland. Going to Holysloot through the meadows is really a must, as is kayaking at Broeker Boat Rental which is right next to the residence or biking to Marken. The only downside is that the mosquito screens don't close all the way, causing mosquitoes and flies to enter the car. I solved this by buying some Deet in Monickendam. All in all highly recommended!

Wat een heerlijk verblijf in de natuur. Het huisje is mooi ingericht en fijn dat er koud water en een koelkastje aanwezig waren in de wagen. De communicatie met Bonnie via Whatsapp was handig en ze reageert snel. Ik heb erg genoten van de tuin met de familie pimpelmees en vlinders! De ligging is perfect zo in de omgeving. Het is ongeveer 15 min fietsen vanaf Broek in Waterland. Naar Holysloot door de weilanden is echt een aanrader, net zoals kayakken bij Broeker Bootverhuur wat direct naast de verblijfplaats zit of fietsen naar Marken. Het enige nadeel is dat de horren niet helemaal goed dichtgaan waardoor er muggen en vliegen in de wagen komen. Dit heb ik opgelost door wat Deet te kopen in Monickendam. Al met al een dikke aanrader!

The cottage is in a nice, secluded spot. However, our cottage had unfortunately not been cleaned before we moved in (trash full, kitchen cabinets inside not clean & lots of dust). The windows and doors had neat screens in front of them but because there are gaps everywhere, it was choking with mosquitoes and flies. As for the mosquitoes, a mosquito net would not have been a luxury. The whole site looks dilapidated because of the old caravans that are also partly not in use. Finally, the light (inside) went out at 23:00, that there should be silence on the campsite between 22:00 and 08:00 is logical, but that the light in the cabin is turned off from 23:00 is ridiculous. The light which works on solar energy did not work either. We stayed one night shorter. This experience at this place is not to be repeated.

Het huisje staat op een mooie, beschutte plek. Echter, ons huisje was helaas niet schoongemaakt voordat wij erin trokken (prullenbak vol, keukenkastjes binnenin niet schoon & veel stof). Voor de ramen en deuren zat netjes een hor maar omdat er overal kieren zitten stikte het van de muggen en de vliegen. Wat betreft de muggen was een klamboe geen overbodige luxe geweest. Het gehele terrein ziet er vervallen uit door de oude caravans die ook deels niet in gebruik zijn. Tot slot ging het licht (binnen) om 23:00 uur uit, dat er stilte moet zijn op de camping tussen 22:00 en 08:00 is logisch, maar dat het licht in het hutje vanaf 23:00 uur uit wordt gedaan is belachelijk. Het lampje welke op zonne-energie werkt deed het ook niet. We zijn een nacht korter gebleven. Deze ervaring op deze plek is niet voor herhaling vatbaar.
