Nature house in Herbram

We felt very welcome. There were fresh flowers on the tables.
Firewood was ready to go (with fire starters and matches), along with plenty of candles and lanterns.
There was also coffee and spices. The kitchen was very well equipped.

Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Es standen frische Blumen auf den den Tischen.
Das Kaminholz stand bereit (mit Anzündern und Streichhölzer) und jede Menge Kerzen/ Windlichter
Außerdem gab es Kaffee und Gewürze. Die Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet.

It's in a wonderful spot right at the edge of the wall. You can't hear a thing except for birds and the rustling of leaves.

Es liegt wunderbar am Wandrand. Außer Vögel und Blätterrascheln ist nichts zu hören

A beautiful, fully furnished cottage. The third bedroom we had anticipated turned out to be a sleeping alcove in the living room; the sofa bed is very comfortable, and there’s plenty of space in the house to sit. This makes the sleeping alcove a great place to sleep. Blackout curtains in the bedrooms would be nice. All in all, a truly beautiful, authentic cottage.

Prachtig compleet ingericht huisje. De derde slaapkamer waar we rekening mee gehouden hadden bleek een slaapnis in de woonkamer, de slaapbank slaapt prima en er is voldoende ruimte in het huis waar je kunt zitten. Op deze manier is de slaapnis prima te gebruiken als slaapplek. In de slaapkamers zouden verduisterende gordijnen fijn zijn. Alles bij elkaar een ontzettend mooi authentiek huis.

Upon arrival, we were very impressed by the tranquility that reigned there; everywhere we looked, we saw woods or fields. The sunflowers were blooming in the field. The beautiful flower field with the chestnut tree is a feast for the eyes. All around us, we heard birds—the woodpecker, the clopping of horses’ hooves, or the bald eagle soaring high in the sky. What an oasis of peace, what a sense of space!

Bij aankomst waren we erg onder de indruk van de rust die er heerste, overal waar we keken zagen we bos of het veld. Op het veld gingen de zonnebloemen bloeien .Het prachtige bloemen veld met de kastanjeboom is een streling voor het oog. Om ons heen hoorden we vogels, de specht, de hoeven van paarden of de zeearend hoog in de lucht. Wat een oase van rust, wat een ruimte!

Nice cottage with great amenities.Funny thing was that we had looked to see if there was wifi (yes there was), but had not looked to see if there was TV (no such thing).Unfortunately no store and restaurant in the village itself, but within reasonable walking distance several possibilities and with the car even more of course.

Leuk huisje met prima voorzieningen.
Grappig was dat we wel gekeken hadden of er wifi was (jawel), maar niet gekeken hadden of er tv was (niet dus).
Helaas geen winkel en restaurant in het dorp zelf, maar wel op redelijke wandelafstand diverse mogelijkheden en met de auto nog meer uiteraard.

A very nice cottage, on the edge of the forest with some nice trails and more hossels or short distance. Did not bike myself, but saw many cyclists going in and out of the forest, also many horse riders. Definitely recommended for those who like absolute peace with only twittering birds.

Een heel leuk huisje, aan de rand van het bos met een aantal mooie paden en nog meer hosselen of korte afstand.
Zelf niet gefietst, maar wel veel fietsers het bos in en uit zien gaan, ook veel paardrijders.
Zeker een aanrader voor wie van absolute rust met alleen gekwetter van vogels houdt.
