This unique accommodation has a style all its own. Rural, cozy, the old beams in the upstairs bedroom give a romantic feel, beautiful views of Gein with floodplains, meadows with the church towers of Abcoude in the distance. Outside on the terrace enjoying the beautiful place, in the middle of nature yet so close to Amsterdam. The old barn has been converted into beautiful apartments, in the style and colors of our farm which makes everything a beautiful unique whole. The accommodation is located on the grounds of our modern dairy farm. Instead of a double bed we can also provide 2 single beds. Please indicate before your arrival. Not suitable for children under 12 years, maximum 2 persons. No pets. Accessible by car or bicycle (most ideal). Walking distance: Abcoude train station 3,6 km. Subway station Gein 3.3 km. From there no public transport to our address.
Nature and surroundings
The Geinge area, located under the smoke of Amsterdam and in a highly urbanized region, has so far hardly been touched by the planning of "progress," and is therefore experienced as an oasis of nature and rural tranquility by residents and recreationists alike. There are many opportunities for excursions due to its central location. Biking, hiking, rent a boat, to Amsterdam by metro, train or bicycle, the Zaanse Schans, Vinkeveen lakes, Spiegelplas Nederhorst den Berg, Abcoude, Weesp, Muiden, Loenen, Vreeland, possibilities enough. Bikes for short distance to Abcoude train - supermarket - bakery - etc. available. Cost € 5 per bike per day. Deposit: € 50.00 per bike. To be paid in cash. No pick-up service in case of breakdown, so for longer bike rides such as exploring the area please rent bikes elsewhere, information on this can be found in the folder in the cottage.
