Our chalet has a lovely spacious terrace with several seating areas. You can enjoy sitting in the sun, but there is also plenty of natural shade because it is on the edge of the forest. It is namely the last chalet on a dead end lane. Therefore you are completely private, in the woods.
Nature and surroundings
The chalet is on a small, quiet campsite. There is an outdoor pool and a cozy canteen where you can get a bite to eat, a drink or an ice cream for a good price. From the site you can walk & cycle straight into nature, including the Terhorsterzand or the National Park Dwingelderveld (where the sheepfold of Natuurmonumenten is located). A wonderful place to completely unwind.

The cottage is eg old and badly in need of refurbishment. Basically everything needs to be replaced: kitchen, floors, ceilings. Inside and outside painting. The cottage was well polished and clean, but because it is so old, it all feels not very clean. If we are honest, we found it quite expensive because of this. That you have to pay such a hefty amount for a cottage with minimal amenities and that is so dated. We had a great time there, and the contact with the owners was super good, but we found the cottage not really worth the money.
Het huisje is eg oud en heeft dringend een opknapbeurt nodig. Eigenlijk moet alles vervangen worden: keuken, vloeren, plafonds. Binnen en buiten schilderen. Het huisje was goed gepoetst en schoon, maar omdat het zo oud is, voelt het allemaal toch niet heel schoon. Als we eerlijk zijn, vonden we het hierdoor best duur. Dat je zo'n flink bedrag moet betalen voor een huisje met minimale voorzieningen en dat zo gedateerd is. We hebben ons er prima geamuseerd hoor en het contact met de eigenaren was supergoed, maar we vonden het huisje het geld niet echt waard.
