Escape the hustle and bustle and unwind in this cozy log cabin, tucked away in the outskirts of Ommen, on the edge of Vilsteren estate. The cottage is located on a small estate and is completely private, surrounded by forest. From your window you overlook a small natural pond, where sometimes even deer come to quench their thirst.The forest cottage is perfect for two people and equipped with all the basic comforts: a coffee maker, kettle, refrigerator, microwave and induction stove. In the living room, the wood stove provides warmth and atmosphere. There is one bedroom with a comfortable double bed and an adjoining bathroom with sink and toilet (note: no shower inside). Showering you do in the open air, in the middle of nature, a unique experience! In winter it can be a bit cold in the log cabin.... Fortunately, the wood stove offers a solution (: And the outdoor shower is an extra refreshing experience that really wakes you up ;) Pets are welcome in consultation.
Nature and surroundings
From the forest cottage you step right into nature! It is located in the middle of the estate's forest and a short distance away you will find numerous hiking and cycling routes. The versatile Vecht valley is accessible all year round: enjoy the heathland, rolling hills, sand drifts, moraines, ancient forests and of course the picturesque river Vecht. Just two kilometers away is Vilsteren, where you can discover the estate's visitor center, restaurant De Klomp and the historic mill. The cozy centers and train stations of Ommen and Dalfsen are also nearby and easy to reach. And for a refreshing dip there is a beautiful, clean swimming pond at Vilsteren.
