Enjoy Limburg beauty. The cottage is located in Rijkel next to forest, near the lovely village of Beesel, voted the "Greenest Village of the Netherlands" and known for the Draaksteken festival. Within walking distance (500m) of the Meuse and brook Swalm. The forest is part of the Maas-Swalm-Nette nature reserve. Beaver spotting, 21 badger setts. It is a beautiful cycling and hiking area. At 8 km in Roermond is the largest Designer Outlet in Europe. With 285 stores full of fashion from famous brands. Within walking distance there is a working flour mill from 1806, where you can buy buckwheat flour (pancakes!!) and spelt flour. It is a good fishing area. The Dutch record catfish was caught 1 kilometer from the cottage. There are also large carp. There are plenty of terraces for coffee with Limburg flan. Dutch champion flan baking, the baker Gommans, is 3 kilometers from the cottage! Our neighbor sells fresh asparagus from their own land.
