"Come and enjoy our vacation home! Escape the hustle and bustle and be surrounded by the tranquility of the enchanting Woodland. Head out for long walks through the Cat Forest, experience the unique "Biking through the Trees", clink on cozy drinks and enjoy fine togetherness. The nature house is the perfect place to completely unwind, spacious, cozy and equipped with everything for 12 people. From Heart Welcome! Check-in from 16:00, check-out Mon-Fri 10:30, Sundays until 17:00. Cleaning fee 150€.
Nature and surroundings
Kattenbos is a special piece of Lommel. The entire area is rich in pine forests that we are slowly evolving into deciduous forest. Centrally in the area you will find 'Kattenbosser Heide', one of the most beautiful pieces of heathland in Bosland. A rare and mysterious bird breeds here: the nightjar. A stone's throw from the starting point is the Leyssensmolen, a particularly beautiful corn mill dating from 1797 which was recently restored and which you can visit free of charge every 1st Sunday and 3rd Saturday of the month between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. For the children, hidden among the trees, there is an adventurous play forest with play elements by willow artist Will Beckers. This playground can be found between nodes 146 and 147. The green route, the butterfly walk, has been made fully accessible for wheelchair users and strollers. The semi-paved path winds through the pine forest and allows hikers to enjoy pine forests, a pond and a beautiful stretch of heathland.
