The "Trust" is a unique cargo ship from 1924. The ship is tastefully decorated and equipped with good beds. Shower and toilet are located in the bathhouse next to the boat, as well as a kitchenette with refrigerator and cooking utensils. The newly built bathhouse has been extended with a nice room where you can stay, even when the weather is not so good, with a view of the boat and water. A Canadian canoe is ready for a cruise through the beautiful Weerribben. On request, a delicious vegetarian/organic breakfast is served on the boat or on the waterside terrace. Ideal for nature lovers, bird watchers and peace seekers. On the same property you can use the labyrinth and silence forest. A unique spot where, if you are lucky at the end of the day or in the evening you might spot an otter.

Kalenberg is centrally located in National Park Weerribben-Wieden. The famous water village Giethoorn and the historic town of Blokzijl are within fifteen minutes, as well as the authentic nature reserve the Rottige Meenthe (Friesland), and fortified town of Steenwijk. Kalenberg is a ribbon village situated on the Kalenbergergracht. Half of the plots, including the one where you are staying, is not accessible to cars. You can park on the other side of the canal and then you will be pulled over by a boat upon arrival. During your stay, you may have a rowing boat at your disposal or we will transfer you if necessary. By bicycle or on foot you can reach the boat by a bicycle bridge halfway through the village.
