Fancy a quiet vacation in the middle of the nature of Drenthe, but don't feel like lugging a caravan or tent around? We have the solution: alternative camping in our cozy retro caravan with awning with wooden decking on our natural campsite. Our retro caravan has a fixed small bed and a seat in the caravan. In the awning is a dining table and an outdoor kitchen. Real camping in other words. A small electric heater can heat the caravan, but don't forget a thick sweater ;-) Pans, dishes and gas stove are all ready. You cook your tea or coffee with the cozy orange whistling kettle. Back to basic camping with rechargeable lamps, fetching water at the water point and washing dishes by hand. You have 10 amp electricity (4 kwh per day) Bedding and towels are included. The plumbing is in the sanitary unit behind our farmhouse and there are water points on the campsite. So you do not have sanitary facilities in the caravan! Wifi is available at the campsite.
Nature and surroundings
Our campsite is located on the outskirts of Zwiggelte and near historic Westerbork and Orvelte. The area is dotted with beautiful nature, vast forests, rolling moors and cozy villages with numerous cycling and walking routes. We are in the heart of Drenthe, surrounded by the unspoiled nature of the Dwingelderveld. And if you want to swim, 10 minutes from the campsite is the Ieberenplas, in the middle of the forest. Our campsite offers a wide view where you can enjoy the sunset. Our grounds are full of native trees, berry bushes, edible flowers and herbs, and if you like water, you won't be disappointed. We sit on the Orange Canal, where you can fish or canoe. The canoes are waiting for you! If you prefer cultural highlights, visit one of the many museums, such as the impressive memorial camp Westerbork (only 6 kilometers away!), the picturesque museum village Orvelte or the Drents Museum.
