Rustic 1960s cottage surrounded by forest. Suitable for one to four people to retreat to. A private forest plot of over 8200 square meters for plenty of privacy and tranquility. The cottage is lovingly maintained. It is safe and comfortable, but primitive. Do you value a modern cottage? Then look further. I would call this cottage vintage.
Nature and surroundings
Beautifully situated on the Brabant moraine. At 200 meters from the creek Zoom. Surrounded by forest located on a former estate of 16 hectares on which there are only 6 other houses. Living on the property include squirrels, rabbits, wood hares, woodpeckers, bats, buzzards, deer and pine marten. Good chance you will get to see them from the hammock or even from the cottage! The estate borders a nature plot of another 18 acres, where you can walk freely, and where rarely anyone comes. The historic city center of Bergen op Zoom is worth a visit, with the 17th-century city palace Het Markiezenhof, the old fortifications and the cozy terraces and stores. The hiking areas the Bergse Heide and Zoomland are within a half-hour walk. You can also bike to the city center within 10 minutes, and a bus stops 500 meters from the cottage.
