Nature and surroundings
The water house is complete and fully equipped. Bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided. The house is anchored by two spud poles on the Kagerplassen. The house can only be reached by boat. You have your own Whaly 450 sloop for the entire rental period. The boat is equipped with a spray hood and swimming ladder and can be used without a license. The house is not always in the same place, in stormy weather (wind force 7 or more), the boat will be moored in the natural harbor (Keverhaven). The Kaag has several lakes. The city of Leiden is 45 minutes by boat and has beautiful navigable canals. In the area there are several nice restaurants and terraces. You can go shopping by boat in Sassenheim (20min sailing). Hanneke August 7, 2024 General rating:Although the cottage is not connected to utilities, it is fully equipped. The bath and toilet area is small, like on a boat. Water is replenished as needed by the sympathetic host. The solar panels provided us with ample electricity. So you live off grid, but still very comfortable. The cottage is very nicely decorated, with great attention to detail, giving a warm, personal atmosphere. There is a lot of attention to nature and environment.
Ondanks dat het huisje niet is aangesloten op nutsvoorzieningen, is het van alle gemakken voorzien. De bad en toiletruimte is klein, zoals op een boot. Het water wordt indien nodig aangevuld door de sympathieke gastheer. De zonnepanelen voorzagen ons van ruim voldoende electriciteit. Je leeft dus off grid, maar toch zeer comfortabel.
