Nature house in Fabrica Di Roma

The house is nice and spacious and surrounded by greenery. The super-friendly owners live behind and above you, but it still feels very private. The windows all have good screens, which is great. Fortunately, the mosquitoes weren’t too bad (in June).
The three cats and two dogs occasionally come by for a friendly visit (if you’re not a big fan of dogs, they’ll be sure to respect that).
There’s so much to see and do in the area: the waterfalls near Nepi, the ancient amphitheater in Sutri, the lakes (we really liked Trevignano Romano near Lake Bracciano), the beautiful beach at San Severa, and… Rome, of course! It’s just over an hour’s drive from Fabrica di Roma.

Highly recommended and a place worth returning to.

Het huis is fijn ruim en omgeven door groen. De superaardige eigenaren wonen achter en boven je, maar het voelt als heel prive. De ramen zijn allemaal voorzien van goede horren, heel fijn. Al vielen ons de muggen heel erg mee gelukkig (in juni).
De drie katten en twee honden komen af en toe gezellig buurten (mocht je niet zo houden van honden dan zullen ze daar rekening mee houden).
Er is zoveel te zien en te doen in de buurt: de watervallen bij Nepi, het eeuwenoude amfitheater in Sutri, de meren (Trevignano Romano bij het Braccianomeer vonden we erg mooi), het mooie strand van San Severa en ... Rome natuurlijk! Op een dik uur rijden van Fabrica di Roma.

Echt een aanrader en een plek om naar terug te keren.

This lovely, spacious house is located on the outskirts of Fabrica di Roma—convenient for grocery shopping and the like—but it feels like the countryside. In the large, beautiful garden, we heard and saw many birds (there’s a good chance of spotting a hoopoe!). If there hadn’t been so much to do and see in the area, we could have spent the whole day sitting in the garden...
We heard that Northern Lazio is one of Italy’s greenest regions, and you could definitely see that: forested hills everywhere, right up to the outskirts of Rome. Probably home to plenty of wildlife; we saw three foxes. A beautiful landscape.

Het heerlijke ruime huis ligt aan de rand van Fabrica di Roma - handig voor boodschappen e.d. - maar het voelt als platteland. In de grote en mooie tuin hoorden en zagen we veel vogels (grote kans op een hop!). Als er niet zoveel te doen en te zien was in de omgeving hadden we wel de hele dag in de tuin kunnen zitten ...
Noord-Lazio is een van de groenste regio's van Italië hoorden we, en dat zag je ook: overal beboste heuvels, tot dicht bij Rome aan toe. Met veel dieren waarschijnlijk; we hebben drie vossen gezien. Een prachtig landschap.

Cozy and cool house, located near the village but close to the tuscia hills and hazel groves, a boon in the summer heat. Beautiful and relaxing garden. Privacy guaranteed.
