Since April 2024 we started the vacation apartment. If you want to enjoy all the luxury and convenience, come to beautiful Oeffelt. With a view of the Meuse River and the Unesco Maasheggengebied. In the vacation apartment is a private bathroom with toilet, shower and sink, a kitchenette with refrigerator and freezer, microwave and stove. Kitchenware is provided, including an electric kettle and a Senseo machine. Television available. Separate bedroom and living area. The apartment is not suitable for disabled persons, as the vacation apartment is located on the First floor. Smoking and pets are not allowed. Downstairs are outdoor seating areas, to enjoy a cup of coffee or breakfast. Or just relax and gaze over the beautiful view of the countryside and the Meuse. Wifi is available.
Nature and surroundings
The Maasheggen Landscape is an ancient landscape unique in Western Europe. The Maasheggen UNESCO nature reserve stretches along the river Maas in the country of Cuijk. This region is rich in history and ancient nature. It lies on the Brabant side of the Meuse River and has survived agricultural mechanization best. Here are numerous small plots, separated by braided hedges of Hawthorn and Blackthorn, among others. Between them grow elder, dog rose, honeysuckle, etc. Thus, massive hedges have been created, which are a feast for the eyes, especially in spring. The Maasheggen provide excellent shelter to numerous birds and other domestic animals, resulting in exceptional flora and fauna. Unesco granted biosphere status to the Maasheggen area in the summer of 2018.
