Enjoy a relaxing stay in our comfortable and modernly furnished forest cabin. Our cabin is located in the woods, where deer wander right past the cabin and where you can see and hear a wide variety of birds. At night, it’s completely quiet here and (when the moon isn’t out) completely dark as well. In short: an oasis of peace and nature. The cottage is fully equipped with all modern conveniences. It features a cozy living room with an open kitchen. The kitchen is brand-new and fully equipped for preparing meals. In addition to various pots and pans, there’s also a Nespresso machine (we’ve provided a starter supply of coffee for you), a kettle (we’ve even thought of tea bags), a 4-burner stovetop, a combination microwave oven, a dishwasher, a refrigerator with a small freezer compartment, and plenty of kitchen supplies. The kitchen is also stocked with paper towels, olive oil, various seasonings including salt and pepper, and a soap dispenser with hand soap. You can leave your own pots, pans, dish towels, tea towels, and kitchen utensils at home.
Nature and surroundings
From the cottage, you can walk right into the woods (Holtingerveld), and it’s a great starting point for walks through the woods and heathland or a visit to the dolmens, which are within walking distance. In addition, the Uffelter Binnenveld, Brandeveen, Dwingelderveld, and the Drents-Friese Wold are nearby. By car, the Weerribben and the Wieden near Giethoorn, as well as the Reestdal, are easily accessible. Charming towns like Steenwijk and Meppel are a 15-minute drive away, and the well-known villages of Dwingeloo and Diever are within cycling distance.
