We welcome you as our guest on our sustainable Surla houseboat to create beautiful memories with this unique experience. In high winds or bad weather, the houseboat is safely moored in the cozy harbor of Monnickendam.The space Spacious living room with sofa, dining table, TV, pellet stove, overlooking the front terrace with bbq. The open kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, fridge, oven, dishwasher, kettle and Nespresso. The bathroom has a shower, sink and a durable (dry) toilet. There are 3 bedrooms. Two bedrooms with double hotel beds, 1 bedroom with 2 bunk beds. On the aft deck is access to a large roof terrace with lounge and hot outdoor shower. There is a dinghy available if the weather allows for boating. You may not sail yourself

Enjoy Amsterdam with its beautiful canals or the historic peninsula of Marken (15 min boat ride) and the fishing village of Volendam is just a stone's throw away. You can make beautiful boating/biking/walking trips, also in nature reserves in the area. Thousands of years ago people turned marshland into pasture with the natural Waterland full of waving reeds, ditches and picturesque villages as an end result. A paradise for (water) birds. The center of Monnickendam with good restaurants is a 5-minute walk from the harbor. Amsterdam is easy to reach, also by public transport. Enough culture, relaxation and nature in the area to make your stay unforgettable. On consecutive days of good weather, the houseboat is on the lake and you can take the dinghy from A to B. Nature, peace & environment:It was a beautiful location and the manager was also very friendly. The cottage was top notch. We had to keep moving our dining chairs to the terrace, not convenient...and the TV control was difficult...we enjoyed it, this view and a perfect cottage. Highly recommended
