On the ground floor: private entrance, small entryway, toilet, spacious fully equipped kitchen, cozy living room with a sitting area and TV, and a utility room with a dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer. The patio door opens onto the terrace and garden, offering a beautiful west-facing view of the orchards and meadows of the Horstergrub. On the first floor: one large and one small bedroom, each with two single box-spring beds, and a bathroom with a sink, toilet, and bathtub with a shower screen. Duvets, pillows, and linens are provided. Parking is available on the property.
Nature and surroundings
On the patio and in the garden, you can immediately enjoy the peace and quiet, the blossoming fruit trees, the birdsong, the buzzing of the bees visiting the garden flowers, and—at dusk, with a little luck—spot a badger crossing the meadows. The Horstergrub, the Gulp Valley, the Belgian Voer Region, the Savelsbos, or the Margraten Plateau offer a true experience for nature lovers in every season. These varied landscapes are home to a wealth of habitats where specific plants and animals—often unique to the Netherlands—thrive. The surroundings of this nature house simply invite you to go for a walk. Recreational cyclists, competitive cyclists, and mountain bikers alike will find plenty to enjoy in our area. This nature house is centrally located in the Aachen–Maastricht–Liège triangle. Thanks to its proximity to these cities—which also share a rich history—our guests can choose from a wide range of cultural activities.

A neat little cottage with a warm welcome from the owner, Philippe.
The furniture is a bit dated, but it suits the location. We were allowed to store our bikes in the shed. We spent most of our time outdoors because of the weather (an average of 30 degrees). Beautiful view from the terrace.
It’s a nice little house.
From the terrace, there’s a beautiful view of the meadows and hills.
We spotted a badger from a distance. We had a wonderful ride (on electric bikes) over the hills to Valkenburg, Gulpen, and Vaals.
This text is automatically translated. -

People who choose nature houses often do so because of the peace and quiet and the natural surroundings. Since the house is located near the Belgian Voer Region, here’s another tip: The Voer Region is just as beautiful as South Limburg, but nice and quiet and not as manicured as in the Netherlands. Our best experience was in and around the hamlet of Veurs (the Veurs Valley). Beautiful nature, orchids in the spring, and a cluster of well-maintained half-timbered houses—plus it’s very quiet with little traffic in the built-up area.
A pleasant stay, with friendly people who are approachable but definitely not pushy. Plenty of privacy. I did miss having hooks in the kitchen area to hang towels.

Clean and fully equipped.
Comfortable beds.
When we arrived, it was 30 degrees, and it was a pleasure that the cottage was nice and cool.Schoon en alles aanwezig.
Prima bedden.
Even though we didn’t really get to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, we did enjoy the lovely view from the cottage and the terrace.
We were warmly welcomed by Fhilip with a Limburg vlaai.
Fhilip was kind enough to help us pick up the bikes and the bike rack.
And it was so wonderful that we got to watch little foxes and badgers from Fhilip’s terrace on two evenings.
Definitely worth repeating.
This text is automatically translated.
