This is the old barn of the farm. In here, the younger made tunnels in the straw! Straw above, cows below. We chose to preserve its original traces and use a process of ecological construction that uses bales of straw to build walls that are then coated with mortar of lime and sand. A spacious home with a holiday atmosphere and the most coveted wide balcony overlooking the valley and mountains, ideal for watching the sunrise.

Nature and surroundings

Cabeceiras de Basto is a place of beautiful nature and a lot of history. We have several nature walks for all ages, all difficulties and all durations. From virgin nature to awesome waterfalls, to watermills from the XXII century, we have it all. We're also located in the Minho region, in the North of Portugal, known for its friendly people, great food and mild climate.
