In Overberg, behind our residential farmhouse and old sheepfold, we rent out a spacious house. The house has a private entrance, a spacious kitchen with two burner stove, an oven, large dining table and seating area. The ground floor has doors to a private terrace with a picnic table and chairs overlooking the meadow. Deer can regularly be seen there at sunset. A gate leads through the meadow into the woods where you can take endless walks. Upstairs, 9 people can stay in one large bedroom. There is also an additional room that can be used flexibly as a bedroom (5p), yoga or workshop space. Upstairs are two bathrooms with toilets. Downstairs is an additional bathroom and a separate toilet. We have quilts and pillows made of sheep's wool. Beds are made before arrival. On the landing is a washer and dryer. Basic kitchen utensils such as tea and olive oil are provided. The rent includes kitchen and bath linen.
Nature and surroundings
Our rental house is located at the foot of Amerongse berg. The area is very popular with cyclists. Cyclists can make some altimeters and for the mountain bike are beautiful trails in the woods. For hikers are from home and several (long) walks to make. Through the meadow you come into the Hoge Ginkel which is one of the quietest forests of the Utrecht province. Besides cycling and hiking you can go horseback riding, canoeing and archery in the area. On the other side of Amerongse berg you can visit the picturesque Amerongen including Amerongen Castle, the tobacco museum and several restaurants. Our house is ideally suited for sporty people and nature lovers.
