Our nature house is a former stokehouse, an authentic part of the Drenthe farm. A vacation home equipped with everything you need to unwind; located in one of the darkest places in the Netherlands. From this nature house you look out over the fields where deer are regularly seen. The nature house with its 23m2 consists of a living-/bedroom with a wood stove. It has a practical kitchenette and a walk-in shower with toilet. Everything is ground floor and wheelchair accessible. Outside, a terrace is available for private use.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located between the three Natura 2000 areas National Park Dwingelderveld, National Park Drents-Friese Wold and the Holtingerveld (with two characteristic Drenthe dolmens). Areas where it is beautiful walking and cycling and where several mountain bike routes run through. National Park Weerribben Wieden with Giethoorn is 15 km. within cycling distance. The Colony of Weldadigheid in Frederiksoord, since 2021 Unesco World Heritage, is 3 km. in the backyard. Furthermore, villages such as Havelte, Diever and Dwingeloo are at 7, 10 and 15 km.
