Our country inn has been owned by the Herr family for 7 generations since 1835. Today we present you a modern house, with well-kept kitchen, which is known far beyond the borders of the beautiful Elz valley. We have lovingly furnished vacation apartments and guest rooms in various categories, all with a covered terrace or south-facing balcony or loggia. Of course, we also offer barrier-free rooms. The newest guest rooms (completion July 2023) are with air conditioning. You can enjoy a home-baked piece of cake and a cup of hot drink, as well as a cold drink and a hearty snack in our beautiful, idyllically situated beer garden in the warm season. You can also book a breakfast buffet on request at a price of €15 per person/day. The apartment has satellite TV, safe, kitchen with dishwasher, shower/WC, bathroom, telephone and south-facing balcony with a wonderful view

Kimberley July 30, 2025 General rating:We had booked a 2 bedroom apartment, but we got the penthouse, where there is only 1 bedroom. When we pointed this out, their solution was that the children (1 and 9 years old) should just sleep in the living room. After half a week our actual apartment became available and we were able to move. Furthermore, nothing of compensation or something was offered for the mistake they made. By the way, the bedroom and living room in the penthouse cannot be darkened. The windows run to the ceiling, but the curtains are only halfway up (and let a lot of light through anyway. Apartment Heustock, the actual apartment we booked, was otherwise well taken care of. The shutters make it perfectly dark and also keep the heat out well. The managers are generally friendly, but as a foreigner sometimes difficult to understand.
We hadden een appartement met 2 slaapkamers geboekt, maar we kregen het penthouse, waar maar 1 slaapkamer is. Toen wij dit aangaven, was hun oplossing dat de kinderen (1 en 9 jaar oud) maar in de woonkamer moesten gaan slapen. Na een halve week kwam onze eigenlijke appartement beschikbaar en konden we verhuizen. Verder is er niks van compensatie ofzoiets aangeboden voor de fout die ze gemaakt hebben.
De slaapkamer en de woonkamer in het penthouse zijn overigens niet donker te maken. De ramen lopen totaan het plafond, maar de gordijnen zitten maar tot halverwege (en laten sowieso al veel licht door.
Appartement Heustock, het eigenlijke appartement wat we geboekt hadden, was verder goed verzorgd. De rolluiken zorgen dat het perfect donker kan worden en houden de warmte ook goed buiten.
