Our charming, 94-square-meter Swedish-style red nature house is situated on a 3.2-hectare lot, part of which is a landscaped garden and a large portion of which is forest. You’ll find the most beautiful part of the garden as you walk down the path. Here is a section of the garden that is completely private and lies right next to a gently flowing river. Sitting on the large wooden deck, you can look out over the river and the forest. You’ll also find a floating wooden deck on the river, with two SUP boards and a wood-fired 6-person barrel sauna offering a panoramic view of the river. Next to the house, we’ve built a fire pit with seating where you can relax and enjoy yourself until the wee hours. Here you’ll also find the large trampoline and a ping-pong table. Inside our house, you’ll find a cozy, well-furnished living room with a wood stove. The kitchen is fully equipped. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms with multiple beds and a bathroom with a washing machine.
Nature and surroundings
Our vacation home is located in the village of Nordmarkshyttan, in the beautiful and diverse province of Värmland. Värmland, in central-western Sweden, is known for its rolling hills and deep forests, and this region is also home to some 10,000 lakes! Here you’ll find Sweden’s longest river, the Klarälven. It’s about 460 km long in total and flows into one of Europe’s largest lakes, Lake Vänern. The varied landscape and abundance of water make it ideal for outdoor activities such as kayaking, canoeing, swimming, fishing, and hiking. There are beautiful hiking and mountain biking trails right from our house. But a little further away, you’ll also find all kinds of beautiful nature areas, Swedish history, a moose farm, and all sorts of other activities. We enjoyed the time. There are opportunities to experience nature in the surrounding area (swimming, picking berries, etc.). You can also spend time on the property and watch the beavers on the river. We were very satisfied, would come back anytime and can definitely recommend this house.
