Our vacation home is located in the village of Nordmarkshyttan, in the beautiful and versatile province of Värmland. Värmland, the central western part of Sweden, is known for its rolling hills, deep forests and in addition this part has about 10,000 lakes! You will find here the longest river of Sweden, the Klarälven. This river has a total length of 460 km and flows into one of Europe's largest lakes, the Vänern. The varied landscape and abundance of water is ideal for outdoor activities such as kayaking, canoeing, swimming, fishing and hiking. From our house there are very nice hiking and mountain bike trails to follow. But also a little further away you can find many beautiful nature reserves, Swedish history, a moose farm and many other activities.
