Step aboard our unique and only vacation home on the water and land in the middle of nature, water and an oasis of peace. Stress and crowds are soon a thing of the past here. Rent our nostalgic vacation home on the water in Limburg and your vacation can begin! Our houseboat is ideal for a family vacation. From the large deck and from the living room you have a good view of the entire pond and you can enjoy nature on and around the water and throw out a fishing rod. At dusk, you can see the kingfisher hunting for his supper from one of his regular fishing spots along the water's edge. In fine weather, bats fly high above your head hunting for insects. Harmony, simplicity, peace, respect for and "being one" with nature are the focus here!
Nature and surroundings
The houseboat is located in the middle of a protected nature reserve. The landscape here is gently rolling and almost flat. This is the narrowest part of the Netherlands. The Meuse used to flow here and to this day the water in this gravel pond is in direct connection with the Meuse. In spring you will see beautiful blossoms, budding greenery and newborn animals. In summer, the lovely cool water invites you to take a refreshing dip in the clean water covered with water lilies. From the boat you will then see many water birds such as the cormorant, little grebe and moorhens. But there are also many frogs, beautiful insects and even a beaver has been spotted. In the pond there are mainly carp but also roach and tench. Feel free to throw out a fishing rod or get on one of the two sups and paddle across or see the swan mussel in the shallow water!
