The spacious living/kitchen area offers plenty of room to cook together in the evenings. You can enjoy breakfast in the sunshine in the garden, and the fire pit behind the house is perfect for spending evenings outdoors. We have a treehouse where children can play, but it’s also a wonderful place to sit and read. In the entryway, guests will find an additional restroom. The house has two separate bedrooms with double beds. The master bedroom features a sleeper sofa. We have a spacious loft with a workspace. A large bathroom with a bathtub is also located on the upper floor. We love our home and hope our guests will feel right at home here too. Please treat all of our belongings with respect, as we’ve furnished everything with love.
Nature and surroundings
Our vacation home is located right next to one of the many hiking trails in the Sauerland (Rothaarsteig), which is perfect for long hikes in nature. The house is located near Willingen (17 km), where you can enjoy skiing (in the winter) and hiking and mountain biking in the summer. The town of Brilon is just a 7-minute drive away. Take a hike to a little cabin in the woods where you can enjoy a delicious meal and a drink. In the garden, you’ll find a treehouse and a fire pit. This summer, we plan to plant a vegetable garden so guests can enjoy fresh vegetables and herbs. The Waldfreibad Gudenhagen is a 20-minute walk from our vacation home.

It’s a beautiful house with everything you need. The beds are fine, but for us, the couch inside was too low for someone who is 193 tall and of a certain age.
The garden hadn’t been tended to for quite some time, and the weeds were as high as 50 cm to 100 cm in many places. There were also a lot of thistles, which isn’t pleasant if you’re walking barefoot or wearing shorts.
Unfortunately, there was also a forest fire a short distance from the house, and despite a neighborhood app on-site, the owner of the cottage didn’t keep us informed about it. We think this is a shame, as things could have turned out differently. Fortunately, a German guest staying next to us did find out how things were going through their landlord.
The cottage is located in a beautiful and peaceful setting.
Het huisje ligt in een super mooie en rustige omgeving.

Heel ruim huisje. Complete keuken. Ruime slaapkamers en badkamer. Alles wat netjes en schoon. Leuke boomhut en grote tuin.
Beautiful surroundings and a quiet location. About 10 minutes from Brilon. There were several hiking trails starting right from the cottage.
Mooie omgeving en rustig gelegen. Ongeveer 10 min. van Brilon. Vanuit het huisje waren er verschillende wandelroutes.
