With a fireplace, a romantic loft bedroom, and a wood-fired private hot tub in the secluded garden, you’ll have everything you need to truly unwind. The loft features a cozy living area (with a sleeping loft on the first floor), a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, coffee and tea-making facilities, and a luxurious bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. Towels, bathrobes, and kitchen linens are provided for you, as well as high-quality, sustainable skin and body care products that you’re welcome to use.

This nature house is located in the heart of the “Het Landje van Gruijters” nature reserve, a lake situated on the west side of the historic village of Spaarndam. Due to the very low water level, the area is very popular with birdwatchers, and you’ll find many species of birds there, such as the avocet, black-tailed godwit, common sandpiper, ringed plover, redshank, and spoonbill, and also wagtails, shovelers, moorhens, and gadwalls. Just a few hundred meters from this nature house lies Fort Benoorden, part of the Defense Line of Amsterdam and thus a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The old dike village of Spaarndam (300 meters) is also worth a visit: this picturesque town is brimming with atmosphere and charm and, in addition to a supermarket and public transportation options, features several restaurants with waterfront terraces. The beaches of Bloemendaal and Zandvoort are within a 20-minute drive, and major cities like Alkmaar, Haarlem (3 km), and Amsterdam (14 km) are just around the corner.
