Stay overnight in the farmhouse’s outbuilding, located in the floodplains of the IJssel River! You’ll be staying next to a 5,000-square-meter young orchard and a newly planted (edible) garden, right next to our former farmhouse. We offer just one unique spot, so peace and privacy are guaranteed. You’ll have access to the detached cottage with a thatched roof, featuring a fully equipped modern kitchen (with a combination microwave, dishwasher, induction cooktop, and fridge/freezer). There’s a spacious shower and a separate toilet. All amenities are located on the ground floor of the cottage. The cottage has its own front yard with a seating area, but you’re also welcome to use the orchard and the seating area there—complete with a fire pit and BBQ. You’ll be right next to the chickens out in the fields! The house is equipped with A+++ appliances, energy-efficient lighting, motion sensors, and green electricity—90% of which comes from our own solar panels, stored in our batteries. There is a wood-burning stove and an electric heater. Wi-Fi and a charging station for bicycles are available.

Wijhe is located in the beautiful Salland region—between Zwolle and Deventer—and there’s an idyllic spot available for your vacation. The property is situated in the floodplains of the IJssel and is characterized by varied farmland with meadows and sparse woodland. There are plenty of biking and hiking trails nearby, and several villages are within easy reach. Within the village of Wijhe, there are several supermarkets and a small shopping street for daily groceries. You can take the ferry across the IJssel River to reach the Veluwe in less than 30 minutes by bike. Last winter, we began planting the hedgerow landscape (800 meters and growing) and the orchard (currently 35 trees and growing) on our property. We plant new fruit trees, plants, and shrubs every season so that we can harvest an abundance of the tastiest fruit to share with our guests; we can’t speed up this process just yet, so please be patient for fresh herbs, vegetables, and fruit from our own garden.
