Stay overnight in the farm outbuilding, located in the floodplains of the river IJssel! You stay next to 5000m2 young orchard and a beginning food garden,next to our former farm. You have access to the detached cottage with thatched roof; equipped with fully equipped modern kitchen (with microwave, dishwasher, induction hob and fridge / freezer. ) There is a spacious shower and separate toilet. All facilities are on the ground floor of the house. The house has its own front garden with sitting area, but you can also use the orchard and the seating area there-with fireplace and bbq. You are right next to the chickens and ducks on the land! The house is equipped with A+++ appliances, economical lighting and motion detectors and green electricity; 80% of which comes from our own produce. Wifi&charging station for bikes is available. Wijhe is located in beautiful Salland - between Zwolle and Deventer - and there is an idyllic place available for your vacation. The plot is located in the floodplains of the river IJssel and is characterized by varied arable land with meadows and forestation. Cycling and walking routes are widely available nearby, there are several villages nearby. Within the village of Wijhe are several supermarkets and there is a small shopping street for daily groceries. You can take the ferry across to be within 30 cycling minutes on the Veluwe. Last winter we started in the yard planting the hedge landscape ( 800meter and ascending ) and the orchard ( now 35 trees and ascending ) . Every week we plant new fruit trees, plants and shrubs so that we can harvest an abundance of the tastiest fruit with our guests; this pace we can not yet accelerate so please be patient for fresh herbs, vegetables and fruit from our own orchard.
