This studio (26m2) is located on an estate, in the middle of the lake area between Utrecht and Amsterdam. There is a double bed of 160cm wide. And a sitting area with cozy wood stove. The room has a private bathroom with shower and toilet. There is a kitchenette with refrigerator, coffee maker, kettle, dishes, oven and cooking facilities. We provide clean bedding, please bring your own towels. For a fee you can use the available canoes and subs. You can also purchase wood to make fire with. On the estate are many edible herbs and bushes from which you may pick wild for your own use.
Nature and surroundings
The estate consists of 5 hectares of protected nature reserve of (quaking) peat, broekbos, marshes and zod. The sleeping studio is located directly on the water that opens onto the Kortenhoef lakes on one side and the Hilversum Canal on the other. Wander through nature on the estate and encounter wild deer or a fox. Enjoy the many birds such as the buzzard, swallow, heron, stork, warbler and, if you are lucky, the kingfisher. Take a canoe and explore the Kortenhoefse plassen, where it is also good swimming. Walk along the Oppad to the estates of 's Gravenland or visit the many cozy catering establishments nearby.
