We had such a special stay here for my husband’s birthday. The house has a unique character, and the rooms are beautifully designed with great attention to detail. It felt warm and inviting from the moment we arrived.
The kitchen is well equipped, including ample cutlery. The bathroom has a spacious shower with excellent water pressure, and the bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast was a real highlight. It was fresh, generous, and with plenty of variety. The special touches for the birthday and homemade extras like cake, granola and cinnamon bread made it feel extra personal.
Communication with the host was smooth and accommodating throughout. It felt like a proper getaway, and we would happily return.The setting is incredibly peaceful, with a view over the water and surrounding polders. The balcony was one of our favourite spots, perfect for sitting quietly and taking it all in. We also watched thunder and rain on the water through stunning picture windows, while warmed by the lovely fireplace.
We enjoyed the nature and animals around the house. We spotted a great white egret, and even a small stoat having a standoff with some crows. It added something special to the experience and made the surroundings feel very alive.
Overall, it’s a calm and restorative environment, ideal if you’re looking for a proper escape from the busyness of everyday life. -

Beautiful cottage made and furnished with care. Friendly reception and delicious breakfast. The path to the cottage, with the sheep, adds to the vacation feeling. And Bodegraven is half an hour's walk away. In short, highly recommended!
Prachtig huisje met zorg gemaakt en ingericht. Vriendelijke ontvangst en heerlijk ontbijt. Het pad naar het huisje, met de schapen, zorgt voor een extra vakantie gevoel. En Bodegraven ligt op een half uurtje lopen. Kortom een aanrader!
