In the middle of a beautiful wooded area lies this nature house. It is wonderfully quiet in the forest, where nature and animals can be fully enjoyed. There are many birds around the cottage. The cottage is very cozy. It has a spacious living room and a kitchen with all amenities. On the ground floor there is a bedroom for 2 people and a bathroom. This was renewed in 2024. One floor below are 3 more bedrooms. It is a little stooping for people taller than 1.85. The first floor was renovated in 2025.It sleeps wonderfully in the cottage: it is always quiet, and nice and cool in the summers. Outside, it's great sitting at the long wooden table on the porch. Or in the sitting area with a cup of coffee or tea, or a glass of wine. The children can jump on the trampoline. The old village has all the shopping facilities needed for daily groceries. There is also plenty of catering facilities.
Nature and surroundings
In the beautiful surroundings of the cottage there is much to do. You can walk, bike and swim if you like active. But also enjoy the beautiful villages of Drenthe and the cozy cities of Groningen and Assen are options. Besides museums and shopping, you can also visit nice restaurants. With children there is also much to do, how about a visit to the various (indoor and outdoor) swimming pools (also in Norg itself) or (swimming) lakes in the area. Or a visit to a large outdoor playground in Leek. From the cottage itself you can also make beautiful walks, which can be combined with restaurants where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and cake, lunch or drinks and dinner. This of course also applies to bike rides through nearby natura 2000 areas such as the Fochteloerveen. A visit to the old Veenkolonien in Veenhuizen which are on the World Heritage List of Unesco is also a must.
