Entrance with separate toilet. Living room/kitchen with sitting area with smart TV and dining area. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso and kettle. The bedroom on the first floor is equipped with adaptations for disabled people: a raised box spring bed, doors 93 cm wide and a bathroom with shower with folding shower chair and toilet with armrests. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, each with 2 single box-spring beds. Bathroom with shower and toilet. Washing machine and dryer. The apartment is equipped with a heat pump, making it comfortably warm in winter and cool in summer. Because the energy is generated by solar panels on the cattle barn, Brakestein is energy neutral. There is a bicycle shed for shared use. There is a terrace at the front of the apartment and a private terrace in the shared garden at the back of the farm. In the farmhouse is a group room for general use.
Nature and surroundings
The stolp farm is located in a beautiful place with a lot of history on the Skillepaadje at the foot of nature reserve De Hoge Berg. Opposite the farm are the Wezenputten. These were owned by the orphanage in Den Burg, which sold the water to the VOC ships that departed from the Texel Roads. Due to its high iron content, this water had an extra long shelf life. The money box in which the proceeds of the water sales were kept is in Museum Kaap Skil in Oudeschild. Via the Skillepaadje you cycle in 5 minutes to the harbor village of Oudeschild. The main village of Den Burg is 1.5 km away. Three completely new apartments have been realized in the historic farmhouse. Apartment A is located at the front. Behind the farmhouse is a beef cattle farm of the same owner.
