The fruit shed is a gas-free accommodation. A heat pump boiler provides hot water, enough to shower for over 10 minutes. It takes about 2 hours before you can do this again. The rooms can be heated by electric heating. Solar panels on the roof provide the fruit shed with electricity. The bedroom has a double box spring 160 cm wide. The accommodation is located on the second floor. Downstairs there is a spacious storage room where you can safely place your bicycle. On private property there is ample parking. The fruit shed is traditionally an outbuilding where the fruit harvest was stored. Prior to the renovation of our adjacent farmhouse, we made the upstairs habitable. We lived here ourselves for over two years.

The fruit shed is located in the most north-eastern tip of North Brabant. From the fruit shed you have a view of the river Maas and the Mookerheide on the other side. The Kraaijenbergse plassen are less than 1km away. A beautiful area for cycling and walking. For walkers of the Nijmegen Four Days Marches and the Pieterpad, the fruit shed is an accommodation in peace and quiet at an accessible distance. A train station is less than 2km away. Nijmegen is at 7km cycling distance and Cuijk at 1km. Near the fruit shed is the bicycle bridge and express cycle route to Nijmegen. Via the bridge the Mookerheide is directly accessible as well as the other woods in the area such as the Groesbeekse bossen. The Pieterpad is also nearby. The ideal environment for mtb'ing, cycling and hiking. Furthermore: the Maasheggen area, the rich past of the Romans, Second World War casemates, historic town of Grave and estate and castle De Tongelaar.
