Welcome to our outdoor place at the edge of the Lembeekse Bossen, where you can come to your heart's content as a green seeker, wild picker or field cook. In the chalet you will find a cozy living room with wood stove, kitchen & bathroom (with everything you need) and a bedroom (with a view). Outside there is a loam oven (bread/pizza), a fire pit and a covered kitchen. Ingredients you get from the garden! We grow according to permaculture principles. There is something to harvest in every season: herbs, vegetables, berries, fruits or mushrooms. And also eggs from the chickens! In the swimming pond you will find summer coolness or winter kicks (after a visit to the sauna!). No one else stays on the premises. At most, during the day there is some work in the vegetable garden or the clay workshop.
Nature and surroundings
The Lembeek woods are a stone's throw from Ghent. A private road along the property gives you direct access to hours of hiking fun and nature experience. Situated on a historic sand drift sand ridge, you will initially encounter a landscape of coniferous forests (here and there heather relicts). Gradually it changes into moister, older deciduous forest (Kwadebossen) with a more diverse fauna & flora. Everything neat and ok. We found the large beanbag ("Fat bag") to take up a lot of space and not very convenient. A coffee table to put your cup and your book on would be an added value.

De grote zitzak ('Vetzak') vonden we veel plaats innemen en niet zo handig. Een salontafeltje om je kopje en je boek op kwijt te raken zou een meerwaarde zijn.Fine cottage. Prima huisje. Stoken met haardvuur viel erg mee - lang geleden dat ik nog es hout kliefde. Bos vlakbij is niet zo groot maar voor 2 dagen best ok en het sluit ook verder aan met het Leen, op 6 km fietsen door het groen.

Natuur overal te vinden: bij de vijver, in de perma-tuin, op het heerlijke buiten-composttoilet- met raam op de tuin.
