The large cozy cabin (Storstuga) has a kitchen and a bathroom. It has room for 6 people: One room with a double bed and one room with 2 bunk beds for 4 people. Also suitable for smaller groups if you rent both cabins (small cabin = space for 4 people). The kitchen is extensively equipped, see equipment, also a double waffle iron, blender, food processor, magic wand etc.. The furnishings (furniture, lamps, appliances) have been renewed via second-hand goods. 2 old bicycles (mountain bikes), 3 paddle boats, 2 old surfboards with long paddles for SUP rides are available in the boathouse on the lake (approx. 200 m (?) away). There is a barbecue bowl or a small barbecue, outdoor seating and garden furniture. Depending on the season: blueberries, blackcurrants and mushrooms at the house, cloudberries on the fell.
Nature and surroundings
Top for activities in the mountains and on the lake: Cabin - Särna = approx. 5 - 10 minutes by car or bike, approx. 30 minutes by boat or cross-country skis. There is a supermarket, a petrol station, a church, restaurants and stores. In Särna you can rent snow scooters. In winter you can go cross-country skiing behind the house (no cross-country ski trail). Nearby there are other cross-country ski trails (Kringelfjorden, Idrefjäll), ski resorts (Idrefjäll, Fjätervalen, Himmelfjäll), groomed snowmobile trails, fells for hiking, Sweden's highest waterfall Njupeskär-Vattenfall, Old Tjikko (the oldest known single tree clone in the world), an elk park (about 15 minutes away by car), where dog sledding is also offered in winter. eCar: In Särna there are 1 normal and 2 fast charging stations for electric cars at the petrol station. HVO diesel: Available in Särna. Getting there without a car: You can take the train and bus to Särna without a car and then walk 2-3 km to the cottage.
