Nature house in Särna

The large, cozy cabin (Storstuga) has a kitchen and a bathroom. It sleeps 6 people: one bedroom with a double bed and one bedroom with two bunk beds for 4 people. It’s also suitable for smaller groups if you rent both cabins (Small cabin = sleeps 4 people). The kitchen is fully equipped—see “Amenities”—including a double waffle maker, blender, food processor, hand blender, etc. The furnishings (furniture, lamps, appliances) have been replaced with secondhand items. In the boathouse by the lake (about 200 m (?) on foot), there are 2 old bicycles (mountain bikes), 3 paddle boats, and 2 old surfboards with long paddles for SUP trips. In the woodshed, there is a grill pan or a small grill, outdoor seating, and garden furniture. Depending on the season: blueberries, black currants, and mushrooms near the house; cloudberries on the fell. Upon request, bed linens (14 €) may be available for rent, and a final cleaning service may be offered.

Great for activities in the mountains and by the lake: Cabin – Särna = about 5–10 minutes by car or bike, about 30 minutes by boat or cross-country skis. There’s a supermarket, a gas station, a church, restaurants, and shops there. You can rent snowmobiles in Särna. In winter, you can go cross-country skiing behind the house (no marked trails). Nearby, there are additional cross-country ski trails (Kringelfjorden, Idrefjäll), ski resorts (Idrefjäll, Fjätervalen, Himmelfjäll), groomed snowmobile trails, mountain ranges for hiking, Sweden’s highest waterfall (Njupeskär-Vattenfall), Old Tjikko (the world’s oldest known single tree clone), and a moose park (about a 15-minute drive away), where dog sled rides are also offered in winter. Electric Cars: In Särna, there is 1 standard and 2 fast-charging stations for electric cars at the gas station. HVO Diesel: Available in Särna. Traveling Without a Car: You can travel to Särna by train and bus without a car and then walk 2–3 km to the vacation home.
