This is the perfect base for all your nature walks and bike rides. If you like, together with your dog. The private property where the B&B is located has a long history. We love to tell you about it when you're there, because the name Escape does not just come from somewhere. During your stay you have a detached lodge that was recently renovated and furnished as a forest house. Fully equipped with a bathroom, central heating, wood stove and porch for those extra cozy evenings. There is no cooking facility in the lodge. If you wish we can prepare a breakfast for you in the fridge but you can also do your shopping in nearby Putten or Ermelo. You can indicate your preference when booking. A refrigerator is available. The tourist tax of 1,79 p.p.p.n. is to be paid on the spot.
Nature and surroundings
Once you enter the forest you drive a few kilometers on a rising dirt road and suddenly you are in the middle of the Speulder- and Sprielderbos. There you will find the B&B surrounded by old Douglas firs, larches, oaks and beeches, where deer, roe deer, owls and boars have their habitat. From the B&B you walk directly into the wide lanes and small paths and before you know it you are on the Ermelose heath or at the mysterious Solse Gat. If you come to stay with your four-legged friend then it's party time, because the large off-leash area can be reached on foot in 5 minutes. Cyclists can go in every direction from the dirt road, the routes and junctions are numerous. If you are on the road then beautiful villages like Ermelo, Elburg and Harderwijk are quickly reached. The Veluwe Lake is also around the corner for lots of water fun and nature experience. Ideal for bird watchers!
