A little hideaway for guests who enjoy a simple stay in nature. This cottage was built 60 years ago. We welcome guests, offering them a chance to take a break from busy daily life. Here, you have the opportunity to reconnect with yourself through Shinrin-yoku and meditation. Whenever you need a break for self-reflection, we provide a simple and safe space where you can lighten your mind and body. Our accommodation is back to basics. A dry compost toilet is located in the forest (15 m away). A hot shower is available by the main house. The cottage has no running-water kitchen, but there is a tap and a simple meal preparation area near the main house. We are a Dutch-Japanese family with a sustainable lifestyle. We would like to share our beautiful place with others so that they can have a peaceful time here. We are looking forward to meeting you! Fumi is a certified Japanese Reiki practitioner. Nature and surroundings
We are located right in the middle of the woods, about 3 km from the village of Koningsbosch, close to the Haeselaar nature reserve with its rich bird life. This is where The Netherlands is at it’s most narrow, 300 m from Germany and 10 km from Belgium. Our space is about 1 hectare of woodlands, far from the main roads. A great place to relax or meditate and to watch the stars at night! And for artists and writers to get inspiration from nature.

It is a nice cottage. Very primitive, but you know that when you book this cottage. Only the beds were not good. My back hurt and I had to buy an inflatable mattress. And the shower next to the house was very cramped. But otherwise completely fine and enjoyed it!
