Nature house in Maasbree

We really enjoyed our weekend here. The cottage consists of two separate cottages, and you have to go outside to get from one to the other. So there are also two kitchens and two living rooms. The indoor pool was cold at first, but after we mentioned it, the temperature was raised. You can bake delicious pizza in the wood-fired pizza oven—it’s quite an experience. The beds are very comfortable.

We hebben genoten van het weekend hier. Het huisje bestaat uit twee huisjes en je moet buitenom om van het ene naar het andere te komen. Er zijn dus ook twee keukens en woonkamers. Het binnenzwembad was in eerste instantie koud en nadat we dit aangaven is de temperatuur verhoogd. In de houtgestookte pizza-oven kan je heerlijk pizza bakken, een hele belevenis. De bedden liggen prima.

The cottage is huge and has a large private garden with a pond. The property is surrounded by farmland, so it's quiet. A short drive away is a forest where you can go for nice walks.

Het huisje is enorm en heeft een grote eigen tuin met water. Het perceel wordt omringd door landbouw, dus het is rustig. Met een klein stukje rijden kom je bij een bos waar je goed kan wandelen.

The outdoor staircase leading to the three upstairs rooms might be a drawback. The kitchen downstairs is small, as is the sitting area, if you’re traveling with a large group (and don’t want to stay in the really large dining room, where you can socialize with the swimming enthusiasts!). The owner, Coen, provides a thorough explanation upon arrival, ensuring there are no misunderstandings during your stay. And if anything is missing, it’s taken care of right away. Great.

De buitentrap naar de 3 kamers boven, kan een bezwaar zijn. De keuken benden is klein evenals de zithoek, als je met velen bent (en je niet in de echt grote eetkamer wilt blijven, waar je wel leuk contact kunt houden met de zwementhousiasten!). Eigenaar Coen geeft bij aan komst goede uitleg, waardoor er geen onduidelijkheden optreden tijdens het verblijf. En als er een tekort is, wordt dit meteen opgelost. Prima.

A Nature House where you’ll quickly feel at home. Not that everything is perfect, but it’s all clean and well-maintained. That “everything’s taken care of” feeling extends to the tableware, the beds (which are comfortable), and, not to mention, the excellent bathing and swimming opportunities. The garden is more than spacious and offers plenty of shade. You can spend endless hours relaxing outside on the patio. Be sure to bring good weather—we were lucky with ours. In short, this house comes highly recommended.

Een Natuurhuis waar je je al gauw thuis voelt. Niet dat alles perfect is , maar het is allemaal schoon en verzorgd. Dat compleet verzorgde gevoel is er ook qua serviesgoed, bedden(goed) en niet te vergeten de uitstekende bad- en zwemmogelijkheden. De tuin is meer dan ruim en biedt veel beschutting. Je kan eindeloos lekker buiten op terras zitten. Neem goed weer mee, wij boften ermee. Enfin, een aanrader dit huis.

If I were to judge wheelchair accessibility purely based on the numbers, there would be far fewer issues: The entrance has two steps, but that was resolved upon arrival; then, when you look at the walk-in shower, it’s way too narrow and there’s no shower chair—I had to bring my own… And if I wanted to go to the terrace, I had to wait and ask someone to push me over—which shouldn’t be necessary—so the windows aren’t built into the floor there, but they are at the pool, where it’s no problem.

als ik het puur op cijfers beoordelen rolstoeltoegangkelijk dan is dit heel wat minder reden: Inkom voordeur twee treden maar opgelost bij aankomst, dan als je de inloopdouche bekijk veel te smal en geen douchestoel aanwezig ik had er zelf eentje voorzien... en als ik naar de terras wilde gaan moest ik wachten en vragen om mij iemand over te duwen wat ook niet zou moeten zijn , dus ramen niet ingewerkt in de vloer, maar die naar zwembad dan wel daar geen probleem.
