This cottage is in the back of the yard of an old farmhouse built in 1830. There is a lot of privacy. You have a beautiful view over the meadows towards the Meuse River. The house is ecologically built (wood frame construction, recycling) and decorated with vintage materials. Upstairs is the bedroom. There is a sofa bed in the living room. There is a bathroom and a full kitchen with nespresso machine, induction, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer. The house is gas-free and energy-neutral. Linen and hand and bath towels are provided. We love beautiful used items, even in our guesthouse. We enjoy working in the organic vegetable and fruit garden from which our guests can also cook. We have planted standard fruit trees. There is an extensive library including books on the environment, cycling, (vegetable) gardens, cooking. Heusden is nearby and there is a bus to 's-Hertogenbosch every hour.
Nature and surroundings
The country house is located in the hamlet of Luttelherpt, which originally formed a municipality with Hedikhuizen and Bern (now across the river Maas). After an earlier merger with Herpt, it is now part of the municipality of Heusden. Close by are Heusden (a beautiful fortified town with its roots in the Middle Ages) and 's-Hertogenbosch. From the house you look across the meadows to the Meuse River. Enjoy the beautiful skies.There is a beautiful hiking area on the other side, accessible via the ferry around the corner to Nederhemert South. The large shifting sand area : the Drunense and Loonse Dunes is also nearby. You stay in the middle of the river landscape. Zaltbommel, Slot Loevestein (with a beautiful bird area around) , Woudrichem are all within easy reach by bike from Herpt. The Biesbosch is just a little further away. All facilities are in Heusden, Vlijmen or Drunen and in terms of culture 's-Hertogenbosch calls itself the cultural city of the South for a reason.
