Nature house in Wesepe

We thought it was a nice cottage in a beautiful location. At first glance, the cottage didn’t seem very clean (there were hairs in various places, some mold in the bathroom, and pots with really caked-on food), even though it was clear that it had been cleaned, so that’s a shame. Other than that, basically everything you need is there, and the bedding is wonderful. The shower is also good, and the toilet is a bit of a funny experience. It was also very thoughtful that breakfast was delivered on Saturday by the local bakery. With a little more attention to detail, it would definitely be a 9.

We vonden het een fijn huisje met een mooie locatie. Op eerste indruk leek het huisje niet zo schoon (op verschillende plekken haren, wat schimmel in de badkamer en pannen die erg aangekoekt waren), terwijl wel zichtbaar was dat er schoongemaakt is dus dat is zonde. Verder in principe alles aanwezig wat nodig is en heerlijk beddengoed. De douche is ook goed en het toilet is een grappige ervaring. Ook erg attent dat er op zaterdag een ontbijtje werd gebracht door de lokale bakker. Wat meer aandacht voor detail en dan zou het zeker een 9 worden.

The location and the view from the cottage were amazing. Deer, hares, and storks in the field right in front of us. We were able to enjoy sitting in the sun, and there were plenty of hiking opportunities in the area. It was also nice to stop by the local farmers for groceries. Unfortunately, it’s fairly close to a road, so you can hear cars and motorcycles quite clearly, and it’s on a path that quite a few people use to walk their dogs and go jogging. This isn’t all day long, but it does happen several times a day. Also, it seems that every other Sunday in the summer, there’s an obstacle course training session that lasts all morning in the woods right behind the cottage and along the path next to it. We were lucky that it was canceled due to the rain, but we would have appreciated it if this had been mentioned earlier, and our experience would have been very different if it had gone ahead.

De locatie en het uitzicht van het huisje waren geweldig. Herten, hazen en ooievaars op het veld voor ons. We konden heerlijk in de zon zitten en genoeg wandelmogelijkheden in de omgeving. Ook leuk om langs de lokale boeren te gaan voor boodschappen. Helaas ligt het wel redelijk dicht bij een weg dus je hoort auto's en motoren goed en aan een pad die redelijk wat mensen gebruiken om de hond uit te laten en hard te lopen. Dit is niet de hele dag door, maar wel een aantal keer per dag. Verder lijkt er om de week op zondag in de zomers een survivaltraining te zijn gedurende de hele ochtend in het bos pal achter het huisje en op de route langs het huisje. Wij hadden geluk dat het door de regen niet doorging, maar we hadden het gewaardeerd als dit eerder vermeld was en onze ervaring was wel erg anders geweest als het wel door was gegaan.

Beautiful cottage, great location, all facilities available, good and easy contact with the manager, need to get used to a "dry-toilet". Relaxing here certainly succeeds!

Mooi huisje, geweldige locatie, alle faciliteiten aanwezig, goed en makkelijk contact met de beheerder, even wennen aan een "droog-toilet". Onthaasten lukt hier zeker!!

I would almost forget that there are still places in the Netherlands where peace, nature and space can be mentioned in the same breath. Here that can be found, great!

Ik zou bijna vergeten dat er in Nederland nog plekken zijn waar rust, natuur en ruimte in 1 adem genoemd kunnen worden. Hier is dat te vinden, geweldig!

In terms of comments, all I missed was a measuring cup in the kitchen. And as for the cleaning just once well remove all the cobwebs. For the rest it was neat and clean!

Qua opmerkingen miste ik alleen een maatbeker in de keuken. En wat betreft de schoonmaak even een keer goed alle spinnenwebben verwijderen. Voor de rest was het netjes en schoon!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Cabana! I received a clear email in advance about the how and what. And the Cabana looked neat. The location is of course the attractive part. No one around you for a while was very nice! The only thing you see are some farms a good distance away. The view is fantastic and with the pellet stove it is nice and cozy quickly. The shower is nice, and the dry toilet takes some getting used to, but no odors so totally fine! There was still reported in advance that I would get breakfast from the baker from Wesepe which was already very nice, and I was pleasantly surprised because it was quite generous, enjoyed it! So if you want some peace and quiet around you, and want to retreat into nature, this is a good place to book!

Ik heb erg genoten van mijn verblijf in de Cabana! Ik kreeg van te voren een duidelijke mail over het hoe en wat. En de Cabana zag er netjes uit. De locatie is uiteraard het aantrekkelijke eraan. Even niemand om je heen was erg fijn! Het enige wat je ziet zijn wat boerderijen op een flinke afstand. Het uitzicht is fantastisch en met de pelletkachel is het snel lekker behaaglijk. De douche is fijn, en het droog toilet is even wennen maar geen geurtjes dus helemaal prima! Er werd nog gemeld van te voren dat ik ontbijt zou krijgen van de bakker uit Wesepe wat al erg leuk was, en ik werd blij verrast want het was best riant, heb er van genoten! Dus als je even alle rust om je heen wilt hebben, en je even terug wilt trekken in de natuur dan is dit een goede plek om te boeken!
