Looking for the ideal study or workplace in nature? With a view of Nature Reserve the Haeck. Come spend the night in a heated wooden cottage made of biobased building materials, 200 m from the public road, by the water. From your window you look out on the meadow. Fishing pier and own picnic table in front of the door. Refrigerator, kitchenette and stove available. Floors are made of recycled concrete with elephant grass. This saves 85% CO2 emissions. The exteriors are constructed of red cedar, a highly sustainable type of wood. Solar water heaters on the roof provide hot water and floor heating! Waste water is purified in a helophyte filter. All cabins have private showers and composting toilets. In order to reach the huts with dry feet even when the weather is not so nice, a path of grass tiles has been constructed. Children's puzzles, farm games, reading books and trampoline available. Guided tour of the farm by appointment. WIFI available! Marshmallows roasting by the fire pit.
Nature and surroundings
Within walking distance is nature reserve the Haeck for beautiful walks, also in January. These Nature houses are located in the meadow ( 200 m from the public road) on a nature-friendly bank. From your nature house you can enjoy the countryside where the sheep graze. Fishing pier in front of the haystack hut and walking through the meadow you will reach the jetty at the Grecht. (small river between Woerden and Amsterdam) In the Green Heart, 30 minutes from Gouda and Utrecht. The Westveensepolder route is also recommended, on the way you will see the Westveense Molen. Follow the Marskramerpad and spend the night next to the farm on the Waterlinie, also ask for our fresh milk and eggs.
