CHRISTMAS VACATION? Out and about? Come to the farm, cuddling with animals makes you happy. Near the Nieuwkoop lakes and 10 km from Woerden is this nature house in the meadow, 200 m from the public road. Experience nature and the countryside with canoes and rowboats in front of the haystack hut When building, we used biobased building materials as much as possible. Partial grass insulation and wool from our own sheep was used for the walls. The floors are made of recycled concrete with elephant grass. This saves 85% CO2 emissions. Solar water heaters on the roof provide hot water and floor heating! Waste water is treated in a helophyte filter. Finally, all cabins have private showers and composting toilets. Kitchenette with refrigerator and stove. In front of the haystack hut is your picnic table, there are children's puzzles, farm games, reading books and craft processing available. By appointment a tour of the farm and play in the sandbox! WIFI available.
Nature and surroundings
Relax on the waterfront in the beautiful surroundings of Woerdense Verlaat. By car 30 minutes from Gouda and Utrecht. Near Nieuwkoopse Plassengebied, river Meije, and Vinkeveen lakes. Take a whisper boat, canoe or rowing boat and discover nature on the water. These Nature Houses are located in the meadow (200 m from the public road) on a nature-friendly bank. From your nature house you can enjoy the countryside and the farm where the sheep graze. Fishing pier in front of the haystack hut and while walking through the meadow you reach the jetty at the Grecht. The water between Woerden and Woerdense Verlaat Within walking distance is the nature reserve De Haeck, for a beautiful autumn walk. Also the Westveensepolder route, is a must and visit the Westveense Molen.
