Spring break or a weekend away? Come to the farm, where cuddling with animals is guaranteed to bring a smile. This nature house is located in the middle of the meadow, 200 meters from the public road, close to the Nieuwkoop lakes and only 10 km from Woerden. Experience outdoor life and the countryside, with canoes and rowing boats right by the haystack hut. Bio-based materials were chosen as much as possible during construction. The walls are partially insulated with grass insulation and wool from our own sheep. The floors consist of recycled concrete with elephant grass, providing a carbon savings of 85%. Solar water heaters on the roof provide hot water and comfortable floor heating. Wastewater is treated naturally through a helophyte filter. Each cabin has its own shower and dry composting toilet. There is also a kitchenette with refrigerator and stove, and a picnic table in front of the haystack hut. Games, sandbox, swing and trampoline are available for children.
