Nature house in Woerdense Verlaat

Quiet workplace or short nature vacation. By the water are four sustainable cottages, 200 meters from the public road, in the middle of the meadow. The cottages are built with biobased building materials. The floors consist of recycled concrete with elephant grass, providing a CO₂ reduction of as much as 85%, equipped with underfloor heating. Solar water heaters on the roof provide hot water. Waste water is treated naturally through a helophyte filter. Each cottage has a composting toilet and its own shower. To make the cabins easily accessible even in inclement weather, a path of slatted floors has been constructed so that you always keep your feet dry. Enjoy the silence, the space and the farmland. In front of each haystack hut is a picnic table. For children there are puzzles, games and a trampoline. Rowing boats and canoes available for all guests. Also visit our farm, and in the evening roasting marshmallows by the fire pit completes the stay.

View and within walking distance is Nature Reserve De Haeck, for beautiful walks, also recommended in January. Near Nieuwkoop lakes area, small river the Meije, Vinkeveense Plassen. Rent a whisper boat or canoe and discover how beautiful nature is on the water. These nature houses are located in the meadow on a nature-friendly bank where animals rustle among the reeds. From your nature house (200 m from the public road) you can enjoy the countryside and the farm where the sheep graze.
