We have a unique accommodation, the self-built Finnish Kota in picturesque Wadway. Located between the meadows, in the middle of Westfriesland. Near the IJsselmeer with VOC city Hoorn and other Zuiderzee towns . The bustling Amsterdam and the North Holland coast are a half-hour drive away. Nature and surroundings
Our Kota is free behind our house overlooking our beautiful garden. You can also use our wood-fired Sauna and Hot tub. Please bring your own bath slippers and large towels. We live rural with many North Holland cheese-cover farmhouses.There are beautiful bicycle routes through picturesque villages here. The city beach Hoorn is on the Ijselmeer 10 minutes away by car from our vacation home. By bike it is half an hour. 2 Bikes are free to use. A recommendation is to take the steam streetcar from Hoorn to Medemblik, there you can continue by steamboat across the Ijselmeer to Enkhuizen and by train back to Hoorn. The Zuiderzee Museum in Enkhuizen is also worth a visit! Within half an hour you are from our Kota in the beautiful Schoorl on the North Sea.There you can enjoy cycling or walking through the woods and dunes. There is also a mountain bike track, the largest and most beautiful in the Netherlands. There are plenty of bicycles for rent.

Dewi October 17, 2025 General rating:We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage is fully equipped and put together and decorated with great care. Also the hot tub and sauna were wonderful and in addition super attentive and hospitable hosts. Definitely recommended:)
We hebben heel erg genoten van ons verblijf. Het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien en met veel zorg in elkaar gezet en aangekleed. Ook de hot tub en de sauna waren heerlijk en bovendien super attente en gastvrije verhuurders. Zeker een aanrader!:)
Nature, peace & environment:The location of the cottage was wonderfully quiet behind the landlords' yard. A spacious garden where you looked out over the fields and had the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, lovely!

Heel fijn huisje met alles wat je nodig hebt in een prachtige tuin. Lekker rustig en veel privacy. Goede bedden/slaapbank en veel zitmogelijkheden in de tuin, die voorzien is van een zwembad en hottub. Wat we ook erg gewaardeerd hebben zijn de twee fietsen die we konden lenen. In de omgeving kun je er lekker op uit trekken naar bijvoorbeeld Texel, het IJsselmeer of Friesland
