Nature house in Den Burg

Texel is a beautiful island to spend your vacation on.
It’s a great place to go cycling and take lovely walks.
We went to see the seals on the Anna; too bad it was pretty foggy.
Next time, we’ll pick a nicer day for our outing.
All in all, we had a wonderful week on Texel.

Texel is een prachtig eiland om je vakantie te vieren.
Je kan er heerlijk fietsen en mooie wandelingen maken.
We zijn met de Anna zeehonden wezen kijken, jammer dat het vrij mistig was.
Volgende keer een mooiere dag uit kiezen.
Al met al een fijne week gehad op Texel.

Lonneke gave us a very warm welcome.
There were fresh eggs and a bouquet of roses in the cottage.
The cottage was spotlessly clean, fully equipped, and very beautiful.
Everything we needed was there.
The furnishings are fairly new, neat, and modern.
We had an absolutely wonderful time and will definitely be back.

We kregen een heel fijn welkom van Lonneke.
Er stonden verse eitjes en een bosje rozen in het huisje.
Het huisje was keurig schoon, compleet en erg mooi.
Alles wat je nodig had was aanwezig.
De inrichting is vrij nieuw en netjes en modern.
We hebben het ontzettend naar onze zin gehad, komen zeker nog eens terug.

A beautiful little cottage on a sheep farm where you can truly unwind. The location is perfect for exploring the island by car or bike. It’s close to shops, about 5 minutes from Den Burg, where there are plenty of restaurants and stores. We were welcomed by Lonneke, who showed us around the cottage. There were 10 fresh eggs on the counter and a lovely bouquet of flowers on the table. In their little shop, we bought some delicious lamb from their own flock. Every now and then, we were visited by Hendrik the cat and a chicken named Kip. The garden was well-enclosed and a lovely spot to sit. Inside, there was everything you needed to prepare your own meals, which we did often. We highly recommend staying here. We’ll definitely be back.

Een prachtig mooi huisje op een schapen boerderij waar je heerlijk tot rust komt. De ligging is perfect om het eiland te verkennen met auto of fiets. Dichtbij winkels ongeveer 5 min van Den Burg af waar genoeg restaurants en winkels zijn. We werden verwelkomt door Lonneke die ons rondleide in het huisje. Op de aanrecht stonden 10 verse eieren en een mooi bosje bloemen op tafel. In hun winkeltje hebben we heerlijk lamsvlees gekocht van hun eigen lammetjes. Af en toe kregen we bezoek van Hendrik de kat en een kip die kip heette. De tuin was goed afgeschermd en een fijn plekje om te zitten. Binnen was alles wat je nodig had om zelf iets klaar te maken wat we ook vaak hebben gedaan. We kunnen het iedereen aanraden om hier te verblijven. Komen zeker nog een keer terug.

The house is a beautifully converted barn ideal for 4 people. Very thoughtfully converted and functionally furnished. The house remained very spacious and overall very clean, modern and tidy. Technically everything was up to date. It was nice and warm in winter. The furnishings were lovely and there were even a few fresh eggs! If a small criticism is justified at all, it would be that the light above the stove was a little too dark for us. But that's complaining at the highest level! We felt completely at home and would love to come back!

Das Haus ist eine sehr schön umgebaute Scheune optimal für 4 Personen. Sehr durchdacht umgebaut und zweckmässig eingerichtet. Dabei blieb das Haus sehr geräumig und Insgesamt sehr sauber, modern und
ordentlich. Technisch war alles auf einem sehr neuen Stand. Im Winter war es schön warm. Die Einrichtung war liebevoll und sogar ein paar frische Eier lagen bereit! Wenn eine kleine Kritik überhaupt gerechtfertigt ist, wäre zu nennen, dass uns das Licht über dem Herd etwas zu dunkel war. Aber dies ist Jammern auf höchstem Niveau! Wir jaben uns voll und ganz wohl gefühlt und würden gerne wiederkommen!

The vacation home is in a very quiet location on the grounds of a farm about 50 m from a not too busy road to Den Hoorn. In the season there is certainly a bit more traffic, but not very loud. As we were there in winter, the neighboring campsite belonging to the farm was not occupied.

Das Ferienhaus liegt recht ruhig auf dem Gelände eines Bauernhofes etwa 50 m von einer nicht allzu stark befahrenen Strasse nach Den Hoorn. In der Saison ist sicher etwas mehr Verkehr, aber nicht sehr laut zu hören. Da wir im Winter dort waren, war der benachbarte zum Hof gehörende Campingplatz nicht belegt.
