We would like to welcome you to our nature house Pleegste. The cottage owes its name to the hamlet, which bears this name since the early Middle Ages and is derived from the verb "plegen" (to take care of). It is situated in the outskirts of Raalte, where the peace of the countryside prevails. The residence is housed in a large wooden garden house with its own entrance and shower and toilet. It consists of one large room of 30 m² ( CV), with a sitting and dining area, a kitchenette (refrigerator, 2-burner induction hob, combination microwave, coffee maker, utensils etc. ) and a 2-person box spring. On the cozy veranda, you can enjoy the view around the wood stove, overlooking meadows and woods and perhaps the cows (of the neighbor), which walk in the meadow. With a private entrance, you are assured of privacy. We strive to offer you a stay where comfort is combined with hospitality, conviviality, nature and tranquility.
Nature and surroundings
Raalte is located in the heart of Salland and has a cozy center. Raalte offers many activities, including Ribs & Blues, Stöppelhaene and the Salland four-day walking event. The surroundings offer a changing nature with beautiful meadows, forest and heath areas and a wooded ridge. In Salland there are many estates with accompanying manor houses, country houses and castles. The Salland Ridge is a beautiful nature reserve 18 km from the residence. This nature house is an excellent starting point for cycling, mountain biking and hiking routes. Salland has a cycling and hiking route network of many hundreds of kilometers. Much information about this is available in the guesthouse. As a service our guests can rent our E-choppers and/or E-bikes. Hanseatic city Deventer is 15 km away from our stay and is a tourist attraction with its medieval city center and numerous cultural activities such as the Dickens Festival, Deventer on stilts and the book market.
