The cottage is located away from the farm on a meadow right next to the horse pasture where a herd of Icelandic horses graze in summer. The forest with old beech and oak trees begins behind the cottage - ideal for strolling or hiking. In the evening you can barbecue something tasty at the fireplace and round off the evening. The outdoor kitchen is well equipped and has water and electricity. There is a composting toilet in the forest behind the outdoor kitchen - and of course there is also a normal toilet in the bathroom at the front of the courtyard.
Nature and surroundings
A great place to switch off - at night you can hear the owls calling and in the morning the rooster crows from the farm. Whether hiking, cycling or shopping for regional products in the farm store, you'll get your money's worth here. You are welcome to contact me if you would like to take a sauna, the barrel sauna is wood-fired and costs €20 per person per evening. There is a yoga class on Thursday evenings which you are welcome to attend. In the summer months we do yoga outside and for the winter we have a yoga room, cost: 15€. Horse riding is of course also possible but only by prior arrangement. The beautiful town of Tecklenburg and the Teutoburg Forest are very close by and Münster is also within easy reach.

A wonderful place to unwind. The surrounding area has a few beautiful hiking trails, and the neighborhood where the cottage is located is lively yet peaceful. We had a wonderful time!
Hele fijne tijd gehad!
A wonderful place. It has everything you need: a kitchenette with all the basics, a private bathroom, two comfortable beds, a private porch, and a nice fire pit with wood included. It’s a great place to unwind; I spent three days enjoying the peace and quiet, and the area is perfect for hiking, with several beautiful trails nearby.
Heerlijke plek.

It was a wonderful time. The little cottage is very well-maintained and charmingly decorated. The kitchen had everything you needed: a refrigerator, stovetop, electric kettle, cutlery, etc. We had an outhouse and an outdoor shower, but there was also a nice bathroom with a shower, towels, and toiletries in case you’d forgotten yours. You could also buy drinks like soda, beer, or sparkling wine there for a small fee. In addition, there’s a beautiful swimming lake nearby that’s about a 1-hour walk or a 10-minute drive away. The farm and the cabin were surrounded by nature, fields, and other farms. So it was truly a relaxing, nature-filled time that we really appreciated. Thank you so much, dear Anke!
Die Küche hatte alles was man bauch, Kühlschrank, Herdplatte, Wasserkocher, Besteck usw. Vielen Dank liebe Anke!
The path to the cabin leads through the owner’s beautiful horse farm. Free-range chickens, dogs, and horses occasionally greet you at the cabin site, which we found absolutely lovely. The cabin and the grounds are surrounded by forest, and from the front we had a beautiful view of the pasture where the horses graze. We were really able to relax there and reconnect with nature.

The cottage itself was neat. The sleeping area and kitchen were fine. The composting toilet was also convenient, and the shared bathroom was well-maintained. During our stay, a trailer was parked in front of the beautiful view (due to storm damage), which was a bit of a shame.
All in all, we had a pleasant stay thanks to the cottage itself, but the construction work, the water outage, and the way our feedback was handled left us with mixed feelings.
We booked this nature house to completely unwind for a few days. Unfortunately, we were unlucky enough to have trees cut down and hauled away right next to the house using heavy machinery during our stay.
The work began at 6 a.m. on the first day and continued throughout the day. On the last day as well, there was severe noise pollution at 6 a.m., so we decided to leave as early as possible.
Furthermore, the water was shut off during the work, which made our stay uncomfortable. This was not the peaceful nature experience we had hoped for.
What disappointed us most was the owner’s response. We understand that storm damage must be cleaned up unexpectedly and that this isn’t always something that can be planned for. What we struggled with, however, was the lack of empathy for our experience. Above all, they expected understanding from us, without acknowledging the impact the construction work had on our stay.
This text is automatically translated.
