This nature house is a replica of a small house that was built around 1850 for the laborer on the land of the big farmer or landowner. He could then keep a goat and or cow and a vegetable garden. The cottage has a heat pump and underfloor heating. The cottage adjoins a water catchment area of Drents Landscape and a small piece of original bog is on the left side of the paved road. From the front door you can take a walk of over an hour with boots on around the water catchment area.
Nature and surroundings
From the cottage you can go to Schoonhoven, a forest pool near Elim and of course there in the woods for a walk or bike ride. Should you want a day to Pony park Slagharen, this is 10 km. away. Hoogeveen and Coevorden are 15 km. On Monday market in Coevorden and on Thursday and Saturday in Hoogeveen. The state forests of Gees are 15 km. far. At 5 km. is the outdoor pool Önder Ons "in the Krim, open from May to September. You can rightly speak of a "cycling vacation" in Drenthe, but walking is also pleasant because of the peace and quiet.
