Really immerse yourself in nature? You can at this forest cabin. On this estate at the edge of the forest you will find this wonderful place. It is one of the rare off-grid accommodations in the Netherlands. The sun provides light, water comes from its own source and you heat your bath with a wood fire (there is also a shower on bottled gas for your comfort) Here you live in and with nature. Don't be surprised if you see a roe deer, are visited by hedgehogs or hear the owl call while you're relaxing in the hot tub. Catching up with your company around a campfire. Cooking on the fire in the big pan. Splitting your own kindling, building huts, hanging hammocks ... Hiking to the most beautiful tree in the Netherlands (the witches' tree) 500 m away. Or inside: a crackling fire in the stove, relaxing on the couches full of cushions and cozy candles. There is no wifi and no charging points. Powerbank with you or turn off your device. ;-) On Sunday, you don't check out until 5 p.m.!

Nature and surroundings

In fact, you don't have to go out at all, because you have your own hot tub, hammock and campfire pit. You can bring your own firewood but make sure it is untreated and without nails! Wood is also available on site for 7.50 per box. From the cabin you can walk straight into the forest! You can easily reach the nearby climbing park by bike, where you can also eat and relax. Pay a visit to the cheese farm or the play farm, have fun in the play forest or go for delicious beers and/or fries at the Abbey of Postel. Admire the roaming cattle and nature on the Cartier heath or settle down on one of the fine terraces in the neighborhood. Come and relax and enjoy.

We had a super weekend here with a group of 7. We arrived late in the evening so the forest was already dark and foggy and it took a while to find the cottage. But this was just more adventure. Some of the group came walking from Bladel and said they had a beautiful walk in the evening air.The cottage itself is very cozy. The check-in instructions were very clear and complete. It has a large dining table with kitchen and a cozy sitting area with sofas and a wood stove. Everything is wood and it feels like stepping back in time. It was well cold at night (December) so good pajamas and blankets are recommended. Outside we were able to have a nice fire, and the hot tub served well as a cold water bath in the morning in addition to heating. The area is beautiful for a walk. We would also like to thank the host very much for the nice contact, we felt very welcome. Thank you!

Super nice cottage. Basically everything you need, with still the luxury of a warm hot tub. We had a great time with a large group. Because the weather was nice we could sit outside a lot which was nice in terms of space with 2 dogs. The wood was well arranged and we also have a fire inside and baked flat bread. The beds were super nice, toilets were clean and fresh and plenty of supplies in the cabinets of crockery and pans etc. Just read the instruction booklet carefully because not all of us noticed that there was no drinking water from the tap. Ended well though, but with 2 pregnant people would have preferred a sticker by the tap or something.

Very nice quiet place with beautiful view of the meadow on one side and forest on the other. Sitting in the hot tub among the trees with a sunbeam on your face and you know the vacation has begun! In the morning you wake up to young birds of prey calling, how fun is that! The first evening there was a dropping going on in the forest and there is a walking path through the garden of the cottage, which felt a little crazy, but not really bothered.
